BIOC 246 is a 4 credit course that is tailored to nursing students. It is made of 3 components: general chemistry (1cr); Organic chemistry (1cr) and Biochemistry (2cr). The Course explains why molecules react and interact. This is needed later in the course to understand the different biochemical pathways that takes place at the cellular level emphasizing diseases resulting from a defective pathways.
